Domestic Violence Assistance

The Westfield Police Department has a long history of responding to calls for service and assisting victims of domestic violence. In addition to this traditional police response to domestic violence our commitment to our community extends to helping victims through the stages before or after an incident of domestic violence takes place.

Our Domestic Violence Coordinator can offer assistance with restraining orders, shelters, court proceedings, advocacy, and can act as a liaison for numerous other services available for those who are affected by domestic violence.

Outside regular business hours, the police department will assist victims of domestic violence 24 hours a day in obtaining emergency restraining orders if the need should arise.
