Report an Incident Online
Welcome to the Westfield Police Department Citizens Online Police Reporting System. If this is an Emergency please call 911. If this matter involves a minor crime or you wish to report an occurrence please read below carefully to determine if our online reporting system is right for you. Using this online citizen police report system allows you to submit a report immediately and print a copy of the police report for free.

Do not use this system if
- The incident is still in progress
- There is evidence or information present which may lead to a suspect’s apprehension or arrest.
- The incident involves a violent crime, sexual crime, Domestic Abuse, Child Abuse, Elderly Abuse, stolen motor vehicle, or lost/stolen registration plate.
Filing Online - Please Determine if Online Citizen Police Report Filing is Right for You
- Is the incident an Emergency?
- Did this incident occur outside of the City of Westfield?
- Do you know the suspect?
- Were you physically assaulted?
- Is there evidence that could lead to the identification of a suspect?
After Filing Online - Upon Completion of This Report Process You Will
- See the words: “Your online police report has been submitted” showing that your police report is complete
- Be given a temporary report case number
- Be able to print a copy of the report to keep for your records
- Once the report has been reviewed and approved a permanent report number will be assigned, review time will vary based upon case load and therefore may take between 24 and 72 hours
- Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted.
- Once the report has been approved it will be e-mailed to you.
