Early Voting

For your convenience, you are able to cast your November 6th state election ballot before Election Day.

What is early voting? — Early ballots are regular election ballots which voters may request and cast before Election Day. All valid early ballots will be counted on Election Day, along with ballots cast at polling places.

Who can vote early? — All registered Massachusetts voters are eligible to vote early.

How can I vote early? — You may vote early in person at any early voting location in your city or town, or by mail.

A printable application for a mailed early ballot is available here:  early ballot application. This form should be completed and submitted to:  City Clerk's Office, 59 Court Street, Westfield, MA 01085.  Our office will mail your ballot no earlier than October 22, 2018. All ballots must be returned to the City Clerk's Office by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 by mail or hand delivered by the voter.

Where can I vote early? — You may cast your early ballot in person at Westfield City Hall, City Council Chambers, 59 Court Street, 2nd Floor, Westfield, MA 01085.

When can I vote early? — The early voting period will begin on Monday, October 22nd and will end on Friday, November 2nd. Early voting will be available during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm., and Saturday, October 27th, 8 am to 2 pm.

Absentee Voting

Absentee voting is available to those who qualify.  If you will be out of town on Election Day, you have a disability, or you have a religious belief which prevents you from going to your polling place, you can apply for an absentee ballot. Absentee ballots are available before the early voting period.  Unlike early voting, which is currently available only for November state elections, absentee voting is available for all elections.
